Hull Women’s Aid is the sole provider of safe and secure refuge accommodation on the north bank of the Humber for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

Specialist staff are on hand to help with providing emotional support, information on our service and to receive referrals for refuge support.

THE WARREN YOUTH PROJECT

The Warren Youth Project is an open access youth service working with people aged 16- 25. Although not a dedicated domestic abuse service, we have been working with young women around this issue for 30 years and can offer an abundance of support in a holistic and consent based way. The Warren is a great place to come and meet people in an inclusive and judgement-free environment.

PRESTON ROAD WOMEN’S CENTRE

WINNER, the Preston Road Women’s Centre provides information, support and advice to women in Hull. It is a multi-purpose organization run by women for women offering a wide range of services under one roof. Women can drop into WINNER anytime between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday to access any of our services or to meet other women in a safe environment. We are situated in the big Purple House on Preston Road at the corner of Bilton Grove.

Domestic Violence and Abuse Partnership

The Domestic Violence and Abuse Partnership support anyone living in the East Riding regardless of gender, age, race, background, disability, sexuality, or type of relationship.

DVAP Children's Service

This service supports children and young people aged 6 to 16 years old who have been affected by domestic abuse within their family or own teen relationship. We provide one-to-one tailored support based on the individual needs of each child or young person.

PODAS (Prevention of Domestic Abuse Service)

This service provides practical and emotional support to those whose behaviour is abusive and want to change. Support will be on a one-to-one basis exploring key coping strategies for managing behaviours. We also offer a group programme for men who are at risk of or have exposed their children to domestic abuse called ‘Caring Dads’.

DVAP Adults Service

This service supports anyone living with or fleeing from domestic violence and abuse, aged 16 years and over. We provide both emotional and practical support with:

  • Making your home safe and secure

  • Legal options

  • Welfare benefits

  • Child protection issues and appropriate child related services

  • Access to appropriate medical assistance

We also offer recovery group programmes.
